Validation¶
Empty files¶
Empty (0-byte) files are rejected on upload with a clear error. This typically happens when the file is still open or locked by another application on your computer (for example a Word or Excel document that is currently open), so the browser sends no content. Close the file and try again.
Supported features¶
Multiple file upload¶
Allows to select multiple files at once and upload them simultaneously.
Drag & Drop support¶
Allows to upload files by dragging them from your desktop or filemanager and dropping them on your fieldlet.
It is possible to drag&drop a complete folder structure, though this is currently only supported by Google Chrome.
In-browser preview¶
Attachments can be previewed directly in the browser without downloading them. When a file is previewable, an eye icon appears next to it in the attachment list; clicking it opens a preview dialog. A Download button is always available inside the dialog.
The following file types are rendered inline:
- PDF documents.
- Word documents (
.docx). - PowerPoint presentations (
.pptx) — slides are shown stacked and scrollable. - Spreadsheets (
.xlsx,.xls,.csv) — each sheet is shown as a table. - Images (
.png,.jpg,.jpeg,.gif,.bmp,.svg,.webp,.ico). - Text files (
.txt,.sql,.log,.json,.markdown,.xml,.yaml,.yml,.ini,.conf).
File types that are not in this list keep only the regular download link. Legacy binary .doc and
.ppt files are not previewable and must be downloaded.
